In Patterns
03:25
|

underground she watches the clock, in patterns and restless. trains will never run on time, the station is quiet. staring out the window she is... she's dreaming in patterns. waits for her next cigarette, her tired old friend. her head low, her eyes closed with dreams... underground she watches the clock...

August
03:27
|
|||
remember august, colder most nights. sleep warm, gone white. into the hallway, the air's wearing thin. it comes and it goes, it comes... in the coldest days, the leaves will fall all the way. lifting up, and over our heads, lifting up your memories. pages turn swiftly, flickering light. winter gone white. into the night time, evening, it comes and it goes, it comes... sit by the log fire all day, when you come around we'll count down the days left 'til october, always. when you come around now...

By The Sea
04:33

and then when we've travelled to our shack near the foreshore, go down to the sea and wait there for me before the night falls. we'd walk together, and no matter what weather comes in from the sea, the way it should be, we'd fall down and stare at the night's sky... and there's times where i wonder what happens when we return? down by the sea, alone as can be, we'll stay here 'til winter...

The Old Man And The City
03:20
|

it was a sunday afternoon, at least the flowers were in bloom. he left just with his bag in hand, no longer with his wedding band. and out of the town, stepped the old man. i saw him counting out the stars, before he slept beneath them. the wooden park bench was his home, that's where he'd spend most nights alone. and out in the cold, there stayed his soul.

Sixteen To One
04:37
|
|||
a night capped in love and fear divide this road, determine a diversion. sixteen to one, unnoticed. she crawls out without a sound, there's no one around. streetlights direct the weary, she always knew her dream but between you and me, this time will tell. it's always the same. when these dreams keep you awake at night, it's always the same.

Before Autumn

left black and blue, he watched the storm from bed. his brother knew, he lay awake in the cold, cold bed... the records lay stacked in piles on the hard wood floor. he searched for the one that kept him warm and that kept him there...

Lucy
03:15
|
|||
the sailor sat quietly at sea, with the moon shining infinitely. on that sad, lonely night, where the stars did shine bright, there lucy slept in his dreams. and there she stayed for a while, as the sea separated their lives. like a book had said when he was a child, even good things must die. he said, 'i'm in love with this girl, that lucy's worth more than this world, or a pearl i found on the shores of this land, where the wind makes no sound'. so he went to the bar they called home, where the moon and the stars used to roam. he planted a kiss right there on her cheek, then turned and followed the sea. i guess it was just meant to be.
