to mixtapes and soundtracks she steps on all the cracks, and onto an express train. she stares nervous at the tracks. sitting still with eyes wide, as people push around. she avoids the stares of strangers and finds no strength to shine. seeking space and solitude in life, all the things she wanted feel so far... she told her friends on tuesday that life had lost its spark. for her it's often that way, especially after dark. these dreary winter mornings, they seem to take their toll. and always upon waking, she feels like she's either tired, restless or old. taxicabs on weekdays from late nights, seeking an escape through the red wine... holding out, she saw the light. but she took things one day at a time...
